Sorry for the bump, but how do we know that the weird omnidirectional model is actually CTI? If anything, it might be something built by a french company. It looks very similar to basically any french siren.

I dont think that a city in the middle of the US would go through the trouble to get a siren from france. But it could not be a CTI.

Who's to say there isn't a french company that did something similar to Hormann America?

It could be a home made siren, by the looks of it it is not something made by a profesional company.

I don't think this is ever a French piece, if determined by the number of ports. This one is 10-Port, while other (Probably most) French mechanical sirens has 8.

(But I also wonder, could there be a 10-Port French siren?)

I would also agree with the statement that says that an American county / town / city wouldn't hastily get an international siren if local ones are available, but I remember about a post regarding a system of Kockum Sonics Delta somewhere around the US (But IIRC they say that the system is damaged).

It isn't unheard of. We exported a 2 horsepower Gent siren to a US town. It's still there too.

There is some sirens in France that are 10-port, but they're quite hard to find and most of them have explosion-proof (ATEX) motors (as they're commonly placed near chemical factories) not to mention they don't carry as far as traditional 8-port sirens (from what I've heard)
