Very very cool stuff, especially of non-American units we don't see much of!

Fascinating controller. Is the brown panel in picture 2 Bakelite?

looks to me like its powder coated sheetmetal, but it does have that same kind of color to it, doesn't it.

No, its from wood with a Plastic surface on top i think.

Thanks, i traded my Elektror E57 for a Siemens/Hörmann E57. Its in perfect shape. Here some Photos:
