Out of curiosity why do you have Sneds Ferry 1000T marked inactive on the map?

I was told it wasn't in use anymore years ago. Turkey Creek Fire & Rescue now covers that area from a new building as Sneads Ferry VFD merged with them in 2013. You can see in both the 2013 and 2019 street view that the horn hasn't moved. Do you have information that conflicts with this?

BOY do I have news for you! While it isn't used or has a regular test schedule, they DO run it "every" once in a while! Makes me wonder why it is facing the same direction, though.

Per a phone call. (I've been doing some snooping and discovered some very interesting things, cough *allertor test* cough ;) )

Very cool! I was told it wasn't ran for fire calls anymore, but that would be great if they still test it every once in a while. Let me know what you find out with your snooping!

It's taken awhile, but I've now completed the siren map for North Carolina! Its 20+ years of memories, notes, sightings, websites, and other enthusiasts' reports. PLEASE let me know if I've missed anything or if there are any errors. I've taken this map as far as I can and I want the rest of the community to take it even further. Reply or PM me if you have anything to add. This thread will be moved to the Siren Map sub-forum in due time. Please feel free to share! BIG thanks goes out to all who have helped me (I will add credits in the near future). Happy siren hunting!

Im going to go look at several sirens in the Columbus/Brunswick county area, Including the mystery siren at the roseland VFD and in general just look for sirens. I will update if you want me to, please tell me if i should make this a seperate thread because im just rejoining the community after a year long hiatus.
