Congratulations on the rare find! This appears to actually be a Model AX, with the "X" standing for explosion-proof siren. There are a few Model RXs out there; essentially looking like an early Model L with a cover of the intake and chopper. These were often used on submarines or aircraft carriers (or really any environment that could be rocked by an explosion). The motors on these little buggers are overengineered so they can still work in the event of a direct hit.
