is ECS legit seller?

Sun Sep 24, 2023 6:45 am

Hello everyone:)
I've been lurking/learning here slowly when I have time but finally made an account to post after recent drama. I lost on a close by auction recently, and so have been looking occasionally and came across ECS.
Has anyone purchased from them? are they legit? Just wanting to do due diligence recon and really hoping for any input
I really love this site there's so much info (although I still don't know much I'm still learning) I greatly appreciate any advice, thank you:)

I bought a DTMF ARCH from ECS and it worked fine. I can post photos here if you want.

Thank you so much for responding seriously I appreciate it! Makes me feel better, I couldn't find much reviews so just wanted to double check for peace of mind.
I'd love to see pics! I've been lurking here awhile but still much to learn, Siratrol is a radio controller? Could you in theory set off multiple sirens with it? 🤯

The Siratrol is a assembly containing the AR/AF timer and a radio called a ARC. Mine is a ARCH because its a VHF frequency. I do nit have photos handy now but I'll post them here when I get the chance.
It is a radio receiver that is one per siren. it receives the activation tones to activate. most are two tone but some are DTMF which are rare.

ECS is a contractor out of Wisconsin, they often get a bad reputation in the community for replacing legacy sirens or systems or telling cities that what they currently have is 'incompatible and outdated'. That being said, they are a legitimate seller, but if you choose not to purchase from them based on that, then there are dozens of companies outside of Outdoor Warning Sirens that would also fall under the same category.

To add on, there are dozens of companies like ECS who would sell some old stock for significantly better prices, which is another item to consider.

I would agree with Non-Zero. ECS's prices are often very high.
