Just a thing to talk about mystery sirens to figure out what they are

Tue May 21, 2024 7:07 pm

I’ll put some locations here. I just thought this would be a fun idea because there’s so many mystery sirens I’m curious about so why not just make one post to talk about all of our mystery sirens anyways these are the locations I have of mystery sirens
33.20974, -87.5313
40.9366, -89.42682
39.94936, -83.13926
30.57463, -97.94926
39.93928, -77.66502
39.66151, -76.17304
But yeah that’s it we just post mystery sirens, and they figure out what they are!
Does anybody know how to post images?

Isn't that just a Whelen WPS-4004?
Enjoyer of ACA and ASC. Likes pretty much anything that isn't an ATI or high-pitched mini siren.

33.20974, -87.5313 - ATI HPSS-32 Black Array
40.9366, -89.42682 - There is no siren visible in this coordinate.
39.94936, -83.13926 - That's not a siren. It is a public address system.
30.57463, -97.94926 - Could be any electronic siren that uses that kind of horn. ATI, ASC E-Class, Meerkat Alerting, etc.
39.93928, -77.66502 - Sterling M10
39.66151, -76.17304 - Some form of custom job, but most likely another public address system.

The one that there was no visible siren I probably accidentally moved it because there is no siren and I don’t remember putting one there so I guess it will be forever unknown.

Also I found out the one that you said was probably a custom job or another public address. System is some sort of bridge siren

This looks to be a Federal siren of some sort, I was about to say it's a Model L but the intake looks a bit... off ?

Can't be a Model A or D as the intake is more flared outwards, whereas on this one it looks like it's tapered.

Yeah it’s strange it’s used as a fire siren that’s what I thought at first as it was a model but now I’m thinking it might be something else I heard something about a model J but I don’t know what it looks like so it might be one of those
