at any rate, I was thinking about doing a similar project with the loud bits from a Model L and Model D, but wasn't able to find a dual-shaft (giggity) motor with a 5/16" shaft. Only 1/4".

I will provide a video link soon. Perhaps the more interesting characteristic is that it is a truly 'workable' doorbell, complete with a variable time control relay. I even incorporated a 24v control circuit so there is not 120v at the doorbell button.

I'm traveling a lot, but I will post a video soon.

Not wanting to continue a bumped thread from 14 years ago but, wow. That's impressive. Isn't that one of those smaller "USI" sirens that were made for home intrusion alerting, just with a second rotor?
