Actually, both those sirens in Marmet, WV are active. If my memory is correct, the Thunderbolt serves as a fire siren, while the 2001 activates for severe weather. They've been there together for years. Just because there happens to be a newer siren next to an older one doesn't always mean the old one is no longer in service—in some cases like Marmet, the town/city may choose to have separate sirens for different situations.Theverythingkid2750 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 19, 2024 4:02 pmThe Thunderbolt 1000 Is inactive due to the 2001 replacing it, but the town decided to keep the thunderbolt. I guess it was to expensive to take down?

The STH-10 is inactive and has no boxes and it looks pretty rundown and done for, and its still up so maybe the town can't remove it like marmet?
