Idaho siren testing dates and times

Tue May 20, 2025 6:12 pm

Does anyone out there know when any sirens will be tested in Idaho? and if so which ones and where will they be testing? the last time they tested was way back in 2016!

I know for certain these towns have a daily noon blast:

Ririe (Type-B dual head)
Blackfoot (STH-10)

In addition, I have heard the following towns test directly from locals:

Downey (Model 5)
Shoshone (Model 5 or 5T, not sure which one)'

I have also heard of noon tests in the following towns, but cannot confirm if they still happen:

American Falls, Jerome, Salmon, Bonner's Ferry.

Supposedly, Shelley voted to re-instate theirs back in 2019, but I haven't heard anything about it past a news story. I've never even been able to find a siren installed there, so my guess is they have it in storage somewhere and would re-install it. Ririe did exactly the same thing; their Type B was in a city-owned garage for at least thirty years.

Sweet, so just a quick comment on those areas, I have been trying to buy sirens but just can’t seem to get the full approval to purchase. Currently I am trying to buy the Denver duplex siren in Glenn’s ferry Idaho. The motor is toasted and the rotor and stator at rusty

I’m not sure if they still test or not, but Clark Fork, ID, was using their Modulator at 9 or 10PM for curfew. That was about 12 years ago though.
