It's kind of weird how the STH seems louder than the 2001, even when the 2001 is pointed right at it.

The Shively Fire Department here in Jefferson County, Kentucky, used to have a 2T22, and either an STH-10 or a Model 5 almost side by side. The single tone siren would sound the daily noon blast, and it was also used for fire calls, while the 2T22 was used for tornados and Civil Defense. It sounded weird on test days to hear both of those sirens going off side by side. A long time ago, a friend of mine made a recording for me of those sirens, and the recording has since been lost. Since I'm visually impaired, I was never able to actually see the single tone siren, so I'm not sure if it was an STH-10, or a Model 5. Nobody ever described it to me. I haven't stopped in that neighborhood in a long time, so I don't know what kinds of sirens they use now. I haven't heard a 2T22 here in Jefferson County for years, so I assume the one at the Shively Fire Department was replaced.

That 2001 I made a thread about it being close to some lofts in downtown kansas city. That FS 2001 in this video sits about the same distance to that other siren as the 2001 sits next to the lofts in KC. I still need to get apicture
