Is the SoundMaster an old ACA product, or were they their own entity?

SoundMaster was its own company.

No soundmaster was started when ACA's lawyer latterly took the plans for a prototype siren out of the trash bin. They made about 15 of them and then ACA found out about them and sued him. I think they made about 4 models.

For those who want some accurate history on soundmaster...check out Ben's site at Wisconsin Sirens.com

Sorry Folks.....I just checked out Ben's site for the first time in a while and found almost all the links to Soundmaster Broken....

There are some pictures of Soundmaster 115DB models sited next to Rock County's new Federal Sirens....if you look at the sites pictures for Wisconsin....

I don't know if someone got bothered about Ben's postings and took legal action to have the specific pictures removed or if as Ben's latest posting indicates...he is no longer interested in Sirens anymore....seems like fishing is his new hobby....

I am aware that Lt. Dan Murphy had some information on the Soundmaster 125DB models sited in Oklahoma.....

A lot of the previous discussions on the Soundmaster line seems to have been lost in transition to the new board protocol....

These rigs date back into the 1968-70's and there are a few in use yet as evidenced by the Iron Ridge Wisconsin and Oklahoma sirens.....also a retrofit now horizontal mounted rig in Henry Tennessee .... they were almost indestructable if ICE didn't get between the Rotor and Stator and bend the motor shaft when frozen up north in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Nebraska....

If someone can get Ben to spring loose of his files....they will be most helpful historically on Soundmaster
