German World War II siren with seven minute wind-down!

I'm not joking. The final wind-down on this thing is actually seven minutes long! It sounds like a 9 port siren.

Wow! Its a ground mounted siren on top of a hill. The cameraman walks right up to the siren within inches, that's why you can hear it for so long.

I'm thinking that the siren probably also has a heavy rotor. Usually, on sirens I've heard in the past, when the pitch gets that low during the wind-down, it slows down quicker. Not this one! It sounded like there was another one just like it nearby.

That is one well-built siren. It would be interesting to hear the upper portion, which probably has three ports.

Not in bad shape if it's been sitting on the ground since WW II. Anyone know make/model?

I'm thinking maybe it's a Siemens, since this siren is a siemens and looks a lot like it.

I'm not sure about the model (L1/F2?), but this is an Elektror siren.

i think so to
"Mechanical sirens provide maximum reliability and the best cost to coverage ratio.
Electronic sirens provide the versatility of producing many different sounds as well as public address."

You're right. It's an Elektror L1337, a combination of the L1 and F2.
