ATI Alert signal

Sun Jul 27, 2008 3:53 am

Doesn't seem as ear-piercing as I thought they were...but still no wind down.

Indian Point's ATI's do sound at a much lower pitch than the ones in Nashville. I doubt that those cheaply built speakers can handle the lower tone though.

Man, I'd hate to live there. Not so much because they have ATIs, but what a bunch of bitter, angry, and whiny people they have there! Fine Entergy for noise pollution? I swear they'd whine if they didn't have a system. It seems like every Indian Point siren video I've seen, you have people pointing fingers at each other and assuming the worst.

That lower toned alert signal does sound much better but I have to agree that it's probably not good on that class of speaker driver they use. Does Indian Point even use the voice feature?
