That's one of those huge fog sirens found mainly in Scotland. It is not a diaphone, but has a rotor and works something like a cross between a Thunderbolt and an Elektror low-pitch siren.

That thing is basically a compressed-medium siren.
I never knew that it would have a cylindrical rotor - I thought that it had a disc rotor.
The thing can do (140) or so, Decibels at a hundred feet away from itself.
I remember that Adam had posted a recording on an old thread, on the old board.
