dan
is there a big nut in the senter of the rotar cuse if there is you could probly take a socket and put a long exstion on it then eather use a rachet or one of thouse speed fasner tools to get it to spin faster.

What is that a klaxon or carter?

An air rachet in my opinion would not work because it's too slow. however , a air impact gun might get the shaft up to speed but there's a drawback. The impact gun is not also a speed rachet but a hammer& you cou'ld risk shearing off the nut that holds the rotor on the shaft or at the liest pulling the threads off the nut or motor shaft until it get's up to speed. You'ld probably have to get an extra set of hands to get the shaft turning then use the impact gun to speed it up. it may or may not work cause any drag on the gun will cause it to start hammering and do what I decribed above.........

What I have found very effective to use is a large wheel attached to a drill. You could use a rubber wheel that takes adhesive sanding disks on its face, but without the sanding disks. Place the wheel normal to the face of the rotor as close in to the center, but while still on the outer ring of metal. You can get decent speed and decent sound out of it this way. I'll see if I have any videos of me doing this.

hook it up to power and growl it or intermittently give it juice. hand power wont get it much faster than that. too much wind resistance and weight to conteract. or if you cant power it for some reason take the wheel off your car, jack it up and somehow connect the axle power to the rotor.
Bringing the joy of siren collecting to the chicago area and more!

If you got no air around to work with, get an electric drill (or cordless) and get a special adapter which you can attach the socket to the drill (shown below)

Now that one is used for 1/4 inch drive sockets, thought there are 3/8 and 1/2 inch drive adapters for drills. You can get these at almost any hardware store.
