Believe it or not, I have given thought to this same idea. But not to use as a horn...
I want to eventually get my hands on a Chrysler siren. Rather than to just stick it in one place, I would either mount it on a modified cargo trailer or on a 3-ton or bigger 1950s vintage cab & chassis truck.
But considering all common sense, I wouldn't permanently mount a siren in the back of a truck which I would have to drive regularly. If a siren is to be used in a daily driver, it would be best to get an old firetruck siren that runs on 12 or 24 volts. Any AC siren would require a lot of stuff to make it work, such as an invertor or generator cabable of 40 or 50 amps, and a phase converter if it's a 3-phase motor. But I give an A+ for creativity to Pyramid Head!
