Holy Sh** thats one fast moving T-bolt. Best video ive seen in a while IMHO! Im thinking that isnt a 2001, just a 1000 on a REALLY high tap, maybe its set to 8 RPM and with the power turned up, is making it spin and sound really fast! :o :o

Seeing a T-bolt or 2001 model spinning like that is rare, especially if the siren spinning like that is used in public warning.

It looks like there are 2 sirens going simultaneously; the T-Bolt on the left and very closely on the black thing, it looks like a 2001

That recording was made in downtown Cincinnati and there are absolutely no 2001s around downtown, only TBolts and SD-10s downtown. Alot of Cincinnati's older TBolts have their rotation and chopper speeds set pretty high.

Hate them, I love single tone Thunderbolts, I am personally more a fan of the 2t22s, STL-10, and the EOWS series as well as the classic ACA sirens but I am kinda starting to like Thunderbolts more and more. I am also starting to like the 2001srnb sirens more and more, they may be really high pitched(which I don't like because the sound doesn't travel much over a mile and a half) but they do get you attention more so then the low tone of a T-128 or a Whelen Vortex or WPSxxxx. The design of the 2001 series seems to be efficient its just very highpitch.

Damn that is freaky. Part 2 is just simply eerie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=praOoiqd ... ed&search=
Both videos are freaky. The way the sirens echo off the building on a cold winter day with the grey clouds makes you think that the vidoe was filmed in Eastern Europe during a war.

Hey, I stood outside my school on the 6th and heard Cincinnati's T-bolts go off. I have seen this siren (well, barely cause it's so high up) in person, and BellyJae taped it from the gardens in front of the Procter and Gamble building. Is BJ on this board?
If your siren is a-failin'
Chances are that it's a Whelen
And if it's just about to die
Then it must be an ATI

The louder siren is a Whelen (since, according to the guy filming it, there are no 2001's in downtown Cincy), as you can hear its wind-down abrubtly quit, like an electronic siren does. The fainter-sounding siren was the T-bolt being filmed, and obviously a 1000T at that. Watch the video again and see what you think.
