That is the box for this siren. It was installed a couple of years ago and there was no siren there before. Looks something like a Thunderbolt blower. There was supposed to be a diaphone on top of the hill nearby but I couldn't find it. Three miles south, there is still a working diaphone in Coos Bay.

Sentry Defenders are rare because they are new, only a few years old since they were fist developed. Remember when me and Sentry Siren hosted the naming contest on WarningSirens.org? I forget who won though. I do remember 3 people submitted that name (including Adam Smith himself...i think anyways...) but the first person who submitted it won their small E-4 siren.

Does Sentry actually manufacture the E4? I've never known them to make electronic sirens.

That red box has all the batteries in it, AFAIK. Note that it has the Sentry logo on it, instead of Edwards.
Say NO to excessive siren testing - overtesting desensitizes the public.
Say NO to voice siren systems - multiple origins = unintelligible audio.
