Couldn't have said it better myself. Thanks 'Madness.

No problem!

Anyway, one thing that we can do is convince ATI that they do not rely heavily on outdoor warning sirens, and that they could just go on making sound chips and other stuff that they're actually good at!

Cast a rotor which is 1.5X larger and put a 10hp motor behind it. That'll do it.

douro20, more info on that? Such as which manufacturer, or which model to add that to? (I can't really send the info unless you provide a manufacturer for me to send it to!)
It's a good idea, heh, but it'd be costly and might have bad specs and might break apart easier due to the force.

Maybe ATI can just start using lower-power, low-pitch drivers instead of medium-power, high-pitch drivers. The lower frequency will make a good difference, even when the power is slightly lowered, which will be just as efficient, and much more effective.

I'm talking about the Federal 2001-130.

OK, Justin, do you want me to put in the design for your siren to Federal Signal or not? I'm not really sure if you want me to yet, since it's not finished.

My suggestion would be to Federal Signal.

While the dB SPL on the 2001-130 is excellent for it's size, the frequency (while shrill and beautiful to my ears at least ) is getting a little high.

Why not modify the chopper to allow more air to be sucked in and spat out without speeding up the chopper and as a consequence increasing the frequency.
Sorry if I wasn't clear.

I think you edited it after I did the last check for posts to put in the list. Sorry. I put it in a while ago (thinking it was just one I overlooked).
