I agree with Eric. I would like to hear it tested in a filthy nasty low pitch for at least once.

Isn't there a tap you can put that on to make it sound like a Carter siren? That's tap 3 or 4, I know that.

Without the blower off yes it can sound like a Carter. But with the blower running the sound is distorted and overpowered it just sounds like a dial tone.

So Guitarguy's "siren warm-up" video is actually inaccurate? I think the Carter pitch to the Tbolt sounds quite nice actually, almost pleasant.

On this particular Tbolt, because of the excessive current draw from the blower, level 4 would be equivalent to 3 on a normal Tbolt, and I've discovered that there's a possibility that Tbolts that sound at that pitch may actually get better coverage than Tbolts that sound at levels 1 or 2. I can hear the PRP VFD #1 Tbolt better at further distances now that it's set on 3, and just a fiew years ago when it still had the old head, it sounded at about a level 2 pitch, and I couldn't hear it as well from my dad's as I can now. There seems to me to be a sweet spot in the Thunderbolt horn for frequencies between 440 HZ and 560 HZ. Has anyone else noticed this?

You really can't come to that conclusion until you get a voltage reading at the RCM with the siren running.
