Bartlesville's new siren system

Fri Feb 16, 2007 3:03 am

many sirens have been removed in the past few weeks and new poles have been put up. my friend's dad told me where i could see a Thunderbolt up close downtown. upon arriving, i found the Thunderbolt, two SD-10's, ten ASC T-128's, and three Federal Signal 2001SRNB's...im excited about the new system, but the sirens will sadly be auctioned off (i actually wanted the Thunderbolt). so, (due to a new pole across from a 2T22 in my neighborhood), i could get another 2001 or a T-128 in my neighborhood!

I am glad to see more and more cities/counties are going with the T-128 over the 2001. God that siren is so much better!

I go to Oklahoma all the time and when ever i used to pass by Barttlesville, i would see many SD-10s and Thunderbolts...and that SD-10 at US-74 & Adams BLVD...between the 3 water towers...the last couple times i went through there i seen it was replaced by a 2001 a few blocks away...sad to see the old sirens go but good tosee new ones being put up! Better covrage and battery backup!

Praise that town! Choosin the nice T-128 over the annoying high pitched 2001. As if the STH-10, Q's, and V/E-G's weren't high pitched enough.
Blades will bleed. Shields Will Shatter. But as the light fades, will the Hero rise again? Or will darkness rein?

i took 27 pictures today (disposable camera...sorry im cheap!) of the new sirens and the 3 old ones. i didnt get great pictures because the gate was shut, but pictures are pictures. i also discovered that 2 of the 4 2001's are older models. i will try to get the pictures posted whenever i get them back.
