WSS is scrapping many sirens. The clock is ticking.

Everyone knows WSS is Thunderbolt paradise, right? Well, I have some bad news...

I am very close friends with Jeff (The owner) of West Shore Fire, he e-mailed me and said he was planning to scrap a whole load of sirens. Dont worry, The Chrysler, 812s, Some Banshee, Few Thunderbolts, etc. are staying, but what I believe are the Harper Woods Thunderbolts are doomed. (because their on poles.)

R.I.P. all those helpless sirens.

For something that's so old and has extremely hard-to-find parts, I really don't blame anyone NOT buying them.

Still, I'd like to get one from there just for the heck of it, but by time I pay for freight I'm looking at about at-least $1,800 in total to blow on just a 1000 head.
Unless YOU, OP, can go pick it up and drag it back down to your second hometown ;)

He's got like at least 50 thunderbolts. Sure they're operable but there's still a s*** ton out there. Same goes for the rest of what he has in exception for the Chrysler, 812s and give or take some ACAs. I'm sure in a year or two his yard will be full again.
Just because you're offended, doesn't mean you're right.

Darn it! I was really looking to get myself an SD-10 next year. Is it true that they are going to scrap their sirens? :(

You'll probably get the SD-10. He's scrapping most of the sirens, he reserved a few Thunderbolts, Banshees, and SD-10s for me. I'm positive he'll do it for you. :D

Hmmm... Here's my guess.

Siren - $400
Blower - $200
With pole... O_O - Maybe 3k? :P

Last time I checked in with Jeff, it was about $800 for a 3 Phase Thunderbolt, with sorted parts.
