Looks like Nashville will be full of Eclipses and 508 sirens by the end of April.

Glad to hear they finally got some sense down there! It's rather sad that they're replacing existing sirens after just 10 years though. Maybe that will send a message to others telling them to avoid ATI at all costs!

Although I don't really care for the Eclipse or the 508, they are much better than an ATI. Seems that these Federal systems are starting to get more popular.

Thank god they are getting new sirens. Not to mention cool ones. I despise ATIs. It's only a matter of time before they are out of business.

According to the article, the ATIs aren't being replaced. They will be "upgraded with a new tone" (maybe pull a Wichita and put 508/Eclipse tones on the ATIs?).

They are getting replaced. They said the equipment has passed its service life and will be replaced. 2 million dollars is right in line with a replacement program.

Federal systems have always been popular. Their market presence alone is the main contributing factor to their sales.

Good thing they are getting more reliable sirens.

I meant 508 + Eclipse systems. I know 2001 systems are quite popular.

Looks like it is time for Charlie to get out to Nashville and take photos of the new Eclipse 8's and FS 508's....

This is great news. I was recently thinking of how most people down there probably have trouble hearing those ATI's. The Eclipses and 508's will be much more effective, just as good as T-121's and T-128's in my oppinion.
