Federal Signal rates them at 124 dB at 100 feet.
Resident of a county with big a mixture of sirens, but in the process of being replaced. :(

Could be wrong, but isn't that the same decibel rating as a Modulator 6048?

I remember the 6048 was rated at 125. Here, they used the 8032 to replace the 6032 and 6048. Yes, the 8032 is taller than the 6048, but doesn't use as many watts.

Actually (and amazingly), no its not. Federal pulled some real shrinking magic with the Modulator II.

The Mod 60xx was 146.1" (12.175 feet) tall.
The Mod II 8032 is 124" (10.3 feet) tall.

For comparison, the Mod II 6024 is only 96" (8 feet) tall. For that equivalent Mod, Federal shaved a whopping 4 feet off the height.

For another comparison, a Whelen 2908 107.9" (8.99 ft) tall, which compares well to the Mod II 8032. The 8032 is smack in the middle of a height of the 2909 (120.4") and 2910 (132.9").

Not bad, Federal. Not bad at all.

Wow, amazing thay they did that and not cut too much sound output! 4 feet is a lot of height!

When I stood next to the Mod on 18 and Ryan,it was loud, but wasn't that Loud. I stood directly across the street sidewalk from it. I'm just glad they have mods now. It's good to change things up.
