What is their frequency?
Why would it be more effective?
If you wish, I'll include the port counts to my ports/pitches post.
Thank you,
The Sentry 20V2T is designed where one rotor produces 460 Hz, and the other is 920 Hz. Likewise, this siren can be custom designed with two rotors that operate at 460 Hz. I know they have eight projection horns, but as to the number of rotor/stator ports, maybe some can fill that part in? Nevertheless, due to the lower frequency used by Sentry sirens, they are more effective and can be heard at further distances, especially when compared to the Federal 2001.

Sincerely yours,

Ron W.

The high pitch is for better attention-seeking and a sharper localized tone.

On the 20V2T, which has 8/16 ports, each horn covers one port on the low pitch rotor and two ports on the high pitch end. On the 40V2T, which has 10/15 ports, each horn covers two ports on the low pitch rotor and three ports on the high pitch end.

We have sentry sirens here, I don't know how to post pics on here. That siren has a distinct sound, you have no confusion as of to what it is when it starts up and starts its wail.
