Awesome stuff!

Did you hear back from Sullom Voe or Chapelcross?
Not Sullom Voe as of now, their contact addresses do not seem to be working but I did send a message just before they broke, so I am not sure if it was received or not. Chapelcross said that I could upload the audio, but I do not have anywhere to upload it as of now. I will do so at some point and when I do, I will keep you updated :)

Ah amazing! If you want, upload it to a google drive and share the link? No one will be able to edit it but we can still hear it. I often do that with buses I record!

The chemical warning siren at DHL Chemical Transport can be heard and seen in this clip:

Looks like a GP8 to me but I could be wrong.

Hello, fellow siren enthusiasts. I'm going to be back on the board from time to time but probably won't post much.

Huh, it never occured to me that a siren in Bampton would be on that map. I don't live far from there, so of all trips I made through the little parish I never saw it in person. It appears to have been removed somewhere in 2012 or late 2011. The only remains is what it was mounted on.

I'm also positive that in Oxfordshire's Oxford, Five Mile Drive once had a Gents Carter just as you enter the road from the roundabout but for a while I haven't been able to find the photo. It was definitely a submission to some archive but I can't see it on Google Earth's historical satellite imagery since it's too blurred and grainy, not even shadows give a hint.

EDIT:
It's on the airraidsirens site thankfully, and I was wrong, it was a Carter not a Gents.

The Solvay siren looks like a GP12 or CC imo. Really eerie sound that one makes as expected and a quick google reveals Solvay have actually had chemical release emergencies before, meaning this may have been sounded in anger!

I can confirm the Banshee's removal. https://www.google.com/maps/@53.4628368 ... 384!8i8192

It does not feature on this google streetview (December 2022)

Wonder if that Banshee got replaced. Most Flogas sites have some sort of public siren and they even reference this in a YouTube information video, so I assume something is fitted.

Well it could either be sold, scrapped or moved to another flogas site. The flogas in Birmingham had removed their GP8 which was quoted as a castle castings for some reason and moved to the flogas site in Staveley. The previous siren I have found to be a single tone carter was sold on eBay to someone so there is a high chance it’s been sold or moved.
