Tony! Toni! Ton?! sampled the sound of a Thunderbolt siren in their song titled "blues" (a great example of the "New jack swing" style made popular in the early '90s).
A clip can be heard here:

If you listen closely, the sound is sampled in rhythm/in short bursts. This could have been a 1003, however I'm sure it was just one of the many model 1000's installed during the cold war.
As I'm sure Adam Smith can attest to, you can do all kinds of stuff with a midi interface and a keyboard. If anybody has a copy of the whole song, there is a long burst of the sound at the beginning. This is probably the only song I know of with a sound clip of an air raid siren that sounds soulful instead of spooky.
Enjoy (and get down!)
