If you zoom in, you can see one of the rotors! Not sure when this pic was taken, but it's on Wikipedia's Hiroshima Prefectural Office page.
I love Yamaha Music Sirens.

Again I'm back with more stuff, I found a screenshot of a newspaper from Dayton, Ohio talking about the 1st gen music siren at Yamaha's headquarters. This was written in 1953.

Just thought that this was interesting to share.

Great catch!
I went around and found the article, but it had either a very interesting use of words or I just found something interesting...

Note the word 'here'. I did the math, and $2800 USD back then translated to a million yen! It's very possible that music sirens might've been installed in the USA!

$2800 is $32265 today. Those 5HP music sirens cost more than the average US siren :o

it says "the firm hopes to develop export trade." if "the firm" refers to YAMAHA, then the music sirens haven't been shipped yet. even the title says that they're on Japanese factories. this is most likely a plan that the city had at one point but never was able to do it. If anyone was wondering about the department store sirens though, those re probably being sold inside japan at the time of this newspaper being written. the two on department stores are probably Marumitsu and Matsuzakaya. I'm not sure about the one on a all girls school as the only 4 note music siren on a school that I can think of would be Mayazaki University. I'm not saying that they were never sold here, I'm saying that this isn't the evidence you're looking for.

Bruh, Iga City Hall's music siren doesn't play From The New World "Ieji" at 10 pm. It actually played Brahms Lullaby at 10 pm.

In my 100+ hours researching sirens over the past year, this is the best article I’ve ever found. I’ve been trying to research these sirens for a while now but I’ve encountered large language barriers or an overall lack of info

Takeda Pharmaceuticals, Yamaha Headquarters & Kishiwada City Hall had a 24-note siren. So the 3 octave variant wasn't a custom built but a limited time variant.

Kishiwada city hall had a 14 note music siren. The first two are correct.
