I-96 road trip

Sun Oct 28, 2007 6:07 am

This past Thursday, I took a road trip to Lansing and to Allendale
My first stop was the Lansing Mich State Police post, lab, training division, training track (exit 98 ). When I was checking them out, I saw across the street(Canal rd.) ontop of the MDOT construction and technology building is a thunderbolt.
Then after taking a few pic's, I went northish on canal and realized that there was nothing out that way. so I turned around. On they was back, It looked like a thunderbeam on top of the ryder building. I got a bit closer and it was a thumderbeam. After that, I got back on I-96 north to allendale. Where I was to stop at West Shore Services to meet up with Jeff DuPilka. I was there to get a radio receiver, and compressor assembly for the Detroit t-bolt I have.
He had many to choose from. I ended up getting a single phase unit. Painted grey. He also had lots of used sirens. Needless to say I took alot of pictures.

Pic's are not in any specific order.

Then on the way back, I took exit 98 again but on the other side of the freeway and found a thunderbeam that is post mounted. it's on Lansing rd. and West mt. hope rd.

Wow. That's all I can think of right now is just... wow.

Wonder what provoked someone to paint the Modulator? :)

Please note the EOWS models.

Only one of them is a 612.

The other two? The illustrious and rare 812s.

The modulator was a special request.

Is it just me, but the black part in the center looks like a SD-10 outline?
It doesn't have a thunderbeam shape to it.

I am going to go to West Shore with a box truck some day...and a pocket filled with a couple thousand dollars.
Pyramid head walks into a bar... there are no survivors.
