Easiest way is to call West Shore Services and buy a surplus siren from them. They have tons they are willing to part with right now

also, anyone selling a modulator?
Not right now that I know, but keep tabs of auction sites, etc. There was a recent auction of a Mod 2008. It took place on Municibid. Watch eBay too, it’s rare, but sometimes they do come up. There’s only been 2-3 I can think of.

What are you looking for and where are you at.
I have a number of sirens that i am looking to sell off in Ohio. But unless you have a big trailer and deep pockets, these are not the sirens you are looking for.

I believe there is one for sale on Ebay. It's one of those modulators that are mounted onto a trailer. If you look up "tornado siren" on Ebay you should be able to find it.

Is it that $12,500 one?
Yep. It's been for sale for quite some time now. Not surprising considering it's price.

Ebay, GovDeals, and West Shore will have sirens for sale. Please keep in mind that the bigger sirens (2t22, thunderbolt, STH, STL, etc) are not cheap and easily weigh 500 pounds or more. You should have a trailer or truck to haul the siren away.

Be aware that some sellers require you to go there and remove the siren yourself (Hamilton County EMA and Park Place Thunderbolt come to mind). You may have to rent a crane for removal which is very expensive.

That being said, I would go to West Shore as they have a lot of older sirens already uninstalled. Prices are fair, and not too crazy. I'd even find a local siren contractor near you who is willing to part with an older model.
