The Official Denver Siren Map

Sun Jan 01, 2023 3:32 pm

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With the new year comes new surprises, so let's start the year off right with The Denver Siren Map.

Daniel Grant and I started this map a few weeks ago. It is an incomplete map of every known Denver Siren location past and present. I've actually been blown away at the sheer amount of these things still standing 100 years later.

Over 300 of these were built and in service by 1921, and the catalog I have only shows to early 1917, so I'm SURE there are more out there.

IF you do happen to have a location not listed please comment below so I can verify it and get it added to the list.

LEGEND:
GREEN X: Removed and restored
BLACK X: Removed
ORANGE ?: Catalog listed location, best educated guess.

That's very unfortunate, it was active. Do you know what has become of it?

It stopped working in May of 2016. I asked the fire department, and they said they scrapped it for metal.
