Rockland County Sirens Sounding.

Sat Jun 17, 2023 2:55 am

This story begins on 6/5/2023 at around 5 pm I heard 2 electronic sirens going off in wail. The loudest siren came from the west. In the early morning hours of 6/16/2023 I heard a Whelen siren going off. The siren was sounding in wail and ran for about 1 minute. Pretty unusual but okay. At around 2 am the same day, I heard the same siren with the same signal. At 6 pm I heard ambiance from a Whelen and a model 5. It could have also been a 5vX of some kind as it is closer than the nearest model 5. I caught a video if it winding down. Why were these sirens going off

NOT POSTING THE VIDEO SO DON'T ASK FOR IT!

EDIT: I found video from the sounding 2 weeks ago. It was a sterling 5vX that was sounding with the whelen. The 5vX was coming from the west in Thiells.

Sterling 5vX 11:43AM 6/17/23 1 minute attatck
Sterling 5vX 11:57AM 6/17/23 single blast in wail.
Whelen and sterling k-5: 1 minute attack 1:30 PM 6/17/23
Whelen 6/17/23 1 minute attack ~6:30 pm
Sterling 5vX 7/1/23 12:00AM 1 minute attack
Whelen 7/1/23 1:05AM
5vX 7/1/23 4:17 attack
? 7/2/23 7:12 attack 1 min
? 7/4/23 1:45AM Attack 1min? (Wasn't paying much attention)
5vX 7/4/23 11:58 AM Noon Blast
5vX? 7/4/23 4:31 PM Attack 1 min
5vX 7/4/23 10:45 PM Attack?
(I don't actually know the model number just that it's a 5vX of some kind)

5VX, not K-5. Sterling verticals were never named "K", rather they are 2V8, 3V, 3VX, 5VX and 7VX.
