New York Siren Mystery

Sat Jul 15, 2023 7:48 pm

I found this siren labeled "Carter" on gabetlamb's New York siren map. Here is a street view: https://www.google.com/maps/@40.6538838 ... ?entry=ttu
It seems to be a horizontal siren of some sort. It looks to be bigger than, say, a GP3, but smaller than a standard Carter. I sincerely doubt this thing is British-made anyways but was wondering if anyone had some insight as to what it might be.
Sirens may not be sexy, but they sure work.

Yeah, that is definitely not any model of Carter that I know of. Seems a bit Secomak-y to me, but I don't know.
A British siren enthusiast. Previously lived at the furthest point from any sirens before co-discovering one very close to where he is located. Also features a great discomfort referring to themselves in third-person.

That's a Sterling Little Giant that's missing both projectors and the motor cover. The "STERLING" logos can be seen on the intakes.
Sterling was based out of Rochester, NY, so their sirens are extremely common in NY.
