Veetronix Siren Controller

Wed Mar 20, 2024 11:13 pm

I have an older veetronix siren controller box that I'm trying to reprogram the tones/timers for the relay board. I have the veetronix software but not the cable. This one doesn't have the usb port on the board, just a 4 pin connector. Does anyone know the pinout for this connector?

Thanks!!

Yessir, I've got one! Do read the manual when reprogramming it though! When the software says it's programmed, POWER OFF the receiver, unplug the programming cable, THEN power on the receiver. If you don't do that, it won't program. Figured that out after trying five or so times without having any luck

From what I was told by Roger at Veetronix, it's recommended to have a computer that's Windows XP to Windows 7 in software, and have an RS232 port. Here's the pinout of the cable that I drew up, per the information Roger supplied me with.

Thanks, exactly what I needed. Now I just need to find an old enough computer to setup on. Only one I have with a serial port is an old laptop that doesn't seem to have enough space to install the Microchip software. Anyway around that or possible to use a USB to serial adapter?

I've tried a USB to serial adapter and didn't have much luck. Ended up looking for a working Windows XP machine with a serial port instead.
