Modified siren sounds.

Sun Jan 20, 2008 5:45 am

Here are some that I made a couple of years ago. All of them are homemade with existing recordings and altered by NCH WavePad, except the Boys Town one which was an actual recording (three 3T22s in hi-lo, a T-128 nearby, and several more in the distance). Feel free to record them and broadcast them on large speakers.

Wow, it'd be neat if a quad toned Thunderbolt existed. Neat recordings.

Yeah, it does. I didn't even bother listening to that one, glad you mentioned that. *wants an ACA Hurricane*

I'd love to see the guys at Sentry take a 10 port head from a 40V2T and mate it to a motor with an 8 port 20V2T head on the other end. I'm not sure what the difference in diameter is between the two, but it would sound like a Hurricane.

Thank you for posting these, Daniel. While the interest is there, I have neither the capacity nor patience to modify siren recordings on my own time so I appreciate it when someone else does... for no reason other than "to see what it sounds like" :D

The Thunderbolt Westminster is fantastic!

How about a Thunderbolt with 3/4 and 4/6 ratios (would give perfect 4ths and 5ths, respectively)?
I am Thunderbolt. Hear me ROAR!

I don't normally take requests, but with the three day weekend, I thought I'd try it.

This is a Thunderbolt with three rotors of 3, 4, and 6 ports, rotating at 7,000 RPM.

Sounds like an Allertor and P-50 put together.

How about a dual tone whelen siren with the old high pitched and current low pitch tones sounding simultaneously. That would sound cool.
Federal Signal Thunderbolt Series, still the King of Air Raid Sirens!
