Not a very long video, but it sounds like a cool siren. I just wish that girl wouldn't have talked over the winddowns.

Ah, well there you go. STH10. Still, loved it for the ambience that was produced by the surroundings.

Oh well. You get that from people that aren't akin to civil defence systems. Most of us would just stand there and listen. Beautiful sound.
Can't say the same about myself though, never heard a real civil defence siren, apart from these recordings that others kindly post. Thank you. :)

STH-10, because the windup is too slow for even an old Model 5.

Yes an STH10. Any variant of a Model 5/7 sounds better though on the wind up and down.

The 7 1/2 HP STH10's have a horrid slow wind up, almost sickning.... The original 10 HP STH10's from 1962 sound much better!
