Great tornado video from KS with 2001's and tornado roar!

I don't think this has been posted here yet. This is a video of a tornado from 1993, but it was just recently added to YouTube. You can hear Federal 2001's, and later on, you can actually hear the tornado roar. Cool!

It says it was shot in 2003, but that was probably the most amazing home footage of a tornado that I have ever seen. 2 generations of 2001's sounding in that clip. And, the roar of a tornado. That sent chills down my spine. Didn't someone post a sound clip of the Xenia tornado a while back? I have the site if anyone wants to hear.

Just listen to those girls scream! :) If only the tornado did silence them! Joking.

I thought it said 1993. I guess I was so excited about the tornado roar that I must have gotten the date confused. I was more excited about the roar than I was the sirens. I was a little suspicious of the closer sounding siren at first, but I realized that it was probably real when I heard the weird Effect on the sound, caused by the wind later on. I wonder why the closer 2001 didn't activate until later on. Different radio systems? Our newer 2001's here in Louisville sound just like those sirens. Some of them are higher pitched than others.

BTW, please link us to the other tornado clip!

I remember that day a few years back, quite an event that week was. :|

Cool to hear the roar of the tornado with the sirens going off. Could tell the difference in the generations of the two siren tones too! :o

This video is definitely real! Here's another video of this same tornado, and you can even hear the same sirens.

From about 1:30 to 3:18: That has to be the scariest part of the video. Once that second 2001 sounded, it was all chills from there.

That second siren didnt sound like a 2001 at all, it sounded more like a higher pitched T-128

I remember that storm, a bunch of apartments were destroyed.
Douglas County/Lawrence is one of those communities that sounds the sirens be zones...which is why a 2001 starts up late.
*This was in 2003*

I'm sorry, but those girls are hilarious! They must be out-of-towners.
