The first one is quite certainly a Federal Lion. The second one is some kind of English siren, probably a Klaxon or a similar GEC.

Heh that first one sounds like the siren that goes off when a storm approaches my area. Not sure about the second one.

I'm sorry...it's not a federal lion...my mistake...the lion has a higher tone than that.

Think I know what a lion aounds like. Westwood might have one aka Station 30.

So that isn't a Federal signal siren? It's not a Darley either i don't think.

The second one has a very impressive sound, very loud. It has been used in several movies, including Twister.

I love the 2nd recording - you hear other sirens in the background... That's the type of sounds I use to hear and miss.. I lived in a 2 square mile radius of five SD10's and ten model 5's.. + horns.
