Sirens in your area

I know this was posted on the other board but i figured we could start it here.
Well in my area (Shawnee County, Kansas) We have about 72 Tornado Sirens, about 32 being located in the City of Topeka. The models consitst of Model 5's, STH-10, STL-10, Thunderbolt 1000Series, 2t22, Thunderbeam, and some 2001s. They are tested every monday at noon weather permiting doing a 45sec-1min alert signal. The sirens will sound a 3min alert signal, then repeat it 5 mins later when ever a tornado warning is issued for Shawnee County. The sirens will only be sounded in Willard-Rossville-Silver Lake when the tornado warning is for the northwestern part of the county, and for the rest of the county when a warning is issued in another part of the county. The cloest sirens to me that i can hear would be a Model 5 (5 bloocks away) 2 2001s, and a Thunderbolt 1000. Below is a siren map for Topeka

Because I live in Windsor, beside Detroit, all I ever hear are the 2001 models, other than the occasional T-bolt. I don't know for sure if it's a 1000 or 1000T.

However, as soon as Detroit donates a 2001 to Windsor, not too far away from me, I'll probably get a video. However, I don't know when we're going to get that siren; Windsor might even call the contract off. But if we do get it, it's going to be the only outdoor-warning siren in Windsor. I heard it's planned to be at the boarder bridge; most likely for terrorist warnings.

I think in November, I emailed city council about why Windsor doesn't have any sirens, but Detroit does. The guy said he would go to the council for information. Never emailed me back, email the city and ask.

There arn't any sirens in Tallahassee where I live, so I have to enjoy them vicariously through the other posters here. Tallahassee once had a network of civil defense sirens but it no longer exists. The only reminder of it is a lone Federal SD-10 which sits on display in front of the old armory building. I wish I could hear it. I believe our siren system had mostly SD-10's and a few Thunderbolts. But they're all long gone except for the SD-10.
