My Thunderbolt 1000T chopper test vid *3rd vid added 6-19*

I pulled my 1000T head out of storage and tested the chopper on 110V without the horn. The rotator tag on this one is marked a 1000. It has a taller cabinet then my Detroit one. plus some other things that make it part 1003

What do you mean "things that make it part 1003"?. BTW, using the transformer found in the RCM1, you can feed 240v to the siren from a 120v outlet.

What I mean is it has the 4 extra holes to mount the bowtie on the chopper, and two plugs on the rain cover that's between the chopper housing and the rotator box. I'll take some pics and post them soon

As far as I know, those are on all C series Thunderbolts regardless of model. I'm sure it was to simplify production. Both of my unaltered 1000's had 1003 stators.

How loud is that head alone without a blower or horn? Is it comparable to a Model 2 or not that loud?

It's loud, but you don't need ear protection, just hands will do

unfortunately, I don't have anything higher than 110V in the garage. So I can't run either blower I have.

It's not that loud. I don't think it's as loud as a Model A.
