Real Nice Storm Video with 2001 Footage

Mon Jul 31, 2006 5:07 am

Here's yet another YouTube video with sirens but this one actually shows the siren in action for a real storm. However the fact that it's a 2001 up close kinda takes away from the spookyness (at least to me).

Cool video. Always nice to see a siren going off durrin ga severe storm,
no matter what the model.

I'm actually starting to not hate the 2001s sound anymore. it seems
more tollerable to me than before.

Don't get me wrong, I love 2001s, I used to live RIGHT by one and kinda liked it. I'm a little jaded only because I've heard so many different kinds.

I used to think 2001 sucked, but they don't seem as bad. I live about a mile from one of Inverness's 2001s and i must say on test day, its very
neat to hear that thing in the distance.

does anyone still have a link to the video someone posted on the old board where there's a bunch of people standing on the balcony of their apartment watching the storm roll in? (real specific, I know...) bunch of 2001s sounding off in the distance. I can't remember if it was on youtube or Google Video, but I've tried searching both.

We have a 2001 over here that sounds at about the frequency of a Model-5, and combine that with the 2001-B and the T-1000T's in Eagan, and the Whelens in Apple Valley, and you have the recipe for one creepy tornado warning!

I believe I might have found it. I searched YouTube under "springfield missouri storm" and came up with this:
