T-135AC/DC Video a Bust

Tue Oct 07, 2008 5:02 pm

I went out to record the T-135 I said I would, but it didn't sound. Instead I got a video where you can hear a combination of a Thunderbolt 1000T, some P-15s, some T-128s, and another T-135AC/DC on the other side of Essex. Sorry to disappoint.

Here are some pics I took of the siren I recorded.

And here's a T-135AC/DC I found on the opposite side of Essex.

I hope the appropriate officials were contacted about this problem. Isn't this siren part of a nuclear power plant system?
Otherwsie, pretty cool video.

Yeah, I just sent out an email to the Exelon security dept. and told them it didn't sound or anything.

Well, hopefully it's not broken. Sorry to hear about the bust.
So, apparently, I like Federal Signal...

It dosn't even look as if it's been used, since it lines perfectly with that square box below it (Rotator box?)

There seems to be some dispute, at least on YouTube, as to whether or not this is a T-135AC/DC and not just a T-128. Here are a couple pictures that I've taken just to show a comparison, one of which I already posted in this thread, but whatever.

A T-128 on the left and a T-135AC/DC on the right.

Note the shape of the T-128's main horn compared to the T-135's.

A T-128...

And the T-135AC/DC I tried to record.

It might be that the T-135's direction is different from the T-128 but I can't see any differences.

I edited the above post so they're side by side. I don't see how you can't see a difference now that they're next to each other. The T-135AC/DC has a significantly larger horn than the T-128.

Nope, still can't quite see the difference. It would probably help to have them with the horn facing more towards you, then I'd probably see the difference more clearly.
