Whelen 2910 in Mexico doing Voice, Alert and voice.

Sat Oct 11, 2008 5:57 pm

Starts at 2:44...appears to be a system of Whelens in this city. I don't know too much spanish, so i can't really make out what it said.

It has a very soft windup compared to most Whelens.

Here's another video of a Whelen in Mexico, apparently just installed around the time the video was taken. The installation company tests the siren in all 6 tones, as well as voice.

I've seen this video. It's amazing to hear it in Spanish as well.

Are those for weather or what? Both are nice videos

It's in Ciudad Acu?a, Mexico, which is south of Del Rio, TX...and this area does occasionally get severe weather. No idea if that's what its used for.

Yeah it does. In fact, it sounds like a very low pitched Modulator. I've never heard a Whelen do that before.

Judging from the pitch of the siren, I'd say that it's a newer 2910.

Roughly translated the voice says "This is a test of the emergency protection system."
What else am I suppose to do? Read a book?
