WWII low-pitch siren still in use in Poland!

Tue Oct 21, 2008 11:23 pm

Check this out! A low-pitch fire siren still in operation at a fire station in Poland. Notice the regular "high" pitch siren in the background.

Is that a three-port siren? I only thought that Germany used that frequency for fire-calls. Anyways, is that an Elektor S3B or a model similar to it?

I can't tell whether the sirens are together or separate, but those 1920's/30's Siemens and Elektror 3/9 sirens had separate motors and were generally not operated at the same time. This is truly a rare video, because most of these sirens went out of use during WWII and have not been manufactured since.
