Actually that video was posted a week or two ago:

What is a Model 7? A Model 7 is actually a Model 5 with a 7.5HP motor instead of a 5HP motor.

Oh boy...

Actually the correct name is "Type 7" with a 7 1/2 HP motor for that siren in the video. Federal never made a Model 7.. Type 3, 5 and 7 sirens stopped in the early 1950's up to the Federal Enterprises name. Federal Signal started the Model 5T, 5A and 5B which came with 7 1/2 HP motors.. There were no more 3 horsepower or type 7's made at this time.

The north east has/had 1000's of these type sirens up all over the place..many still stand .. I am surprised you never saw this type before..most popular siren by federal is the 3, 5 or 7 horspower.

Sorry about the half recording. My camera ran out of tape. The model 7 was blasting a round of General for an MVA. Farmingdale's siren cycles are Noon test is 1 blast, Rescue call 1 long blast, General siren is 3 rounds. The Diaphone will blast for all SIGNAL 10"working Fire" and noon test. The village has 3 sirens, model 2, screamer, model 7,and the mighty Diaphone. :D

Are those other sirens on the pole below it? The look like maybe an F2 and a model A.
