I remember on the old forum someone made a model P50 or 2001 or something that actually sounded a recording when their weather radio made an alert. I decided to make a P50 also out of PVC pipe and a Radio Shack recording module... went well until I forgot to bring it over here to my dorm >.<

I also remember a real model of a Thunderbolt 1000 that was not a recording, it actually had a blower and a teeny tiny rotor/stator unit. Very cool, I would pay anything to get that thing. It would be helpful to get my roommate up in the mornings >.<

You are right.

Elliot made a T-128 and it sounded when the weather radio did.

Also, the Thunderbolt (if its the one and only) is a model 1000T (I think).

Eric Green made that and you can see it on this page.

I Made a Thunderbolt 1000 model

The siren. The 1000T is in the picture to show the size of the siren.

I am thinking that I am going to get some sheet metal fabricated for it to make it more real looking.

Yeah, I still have my siren, but I have to repair the "mount" of the speaker. My cats got pissed off when I left for Myrtle Beach for 10 days ( even though they were fed) and apparently broke the dowel rod at a weak point , so I have to redrill it and remount the 1/4 " headphone jack that holds the "siren head".
