I've been in Columbus for 20 years, and I recall a newspaper story saying that Kenton had a siren that was destroyed in a 1974 storm and was never replaced. So, they had no siren until the 508 was installed due to no funds available. That's what I remember, anyway.

So, apparently one of Dublin's sirens malfunctioned earlier today before the test. It seems like it was the 2750 at Llewellyn Farms Park near Tuttle Road and Frantz Road based on the description from the city police. I recorded that unit in July of 2020.
