Re: What kind of siren is this?

Might be a USI siren. Has a similar chopper/intake design, but then again, a bunch of sirens had that design. Not an Ademco, they have a thinner chopper and a higher chopper ratio.

I'll add to that... where's my Thunderbolt?
I'd say the Auto-Matic OC-9 is pretty rare to see in service as its designed purpose as a burglar alarm. There are a lot in private possession, though. I have one myself!

Re: Mystery siren in France

The motor shroud is way too tall to be a siren. Agreeing with Greenrid here.

Wow, that's cool! Never seen an installation like that. My guess is a Benjamin Electric KM-8200.

Re: Markleysburg, PA

I'm heading up to Michigan in August. Could stop by and give Newell a look. Could finally give us an answer to this mystery. And might as well hit Markleysburg while I'm at it.

Re: Miscellaneous Siren Photos Thread

You're right, that is an Osprey nest. They can't remove it due to Ospreys being an endangered species. Still works, the 12 port side isn't audible.
They put spikes on their new 2T22 at the main FD to prevent this from happening.
