That's a Thunderbolt. The picture is from 1975 and the article on the map for these alleged Mk 2s is from 1979, not to mention the shape is totally wrong for a Mk. 2 hurricane or any hurricane for that matter of fact. If the crack is on the stator only and not the rotor, and it doesn’t rub, you probably won’t need to worry about it.

Dead, school to be torn down and that siren was apart of fort braggs system from what I know.

That is really cool! I rescued a unit that was at the Back Swamp VFD, it was a 1000 back in December of 2022. It was in overall rough shape and a lot of the siren needed to be rebuilt.

Big bump but Ghettobolt is from Rocky Mount, NC. Been dead for 20+ years and the blower is done for.. water got in and froze.
