Re: Looking for siren locations in the USA

I have a few I've spotted in my home state, WA. In Chelan, located at around 212 N Emerson St, sits a 3T22 siren used for forest fires, with no testing whatsoever. Been by this siren a few times, never was unfortunate (or perhaps fortunate) to see it go off. Pretty neat siren to see. There is anoth...

Re: Square Horned STL-10s?

I've scanned Fairfax GIS and street view provided and I've come inconclusive in finding a siren in the site. Is it possible your friend may've gotten it mixed up with Lorton? I know it's quite a stretch but Lorton did have several unidentifiable sirens before they were subsequently removed (ignoring...

Re: Maryland Siren Map (Updated)

Burtonsville, MD is Ex-WAWAS. Originally was a Thunderbolt until it was replaced by a 3T22 - which is rare but also occurred in Baileys Crossroads, VA.

Re: The "Various Sirens" series and others

I think I am a bit late, but I have probably made history, I’m not sure if I did or not, but let’s get on with this. This is probably the closest image of the Norfolk Naval Station Thunderbolt, my father works there, so I got the chance to look through the binoculars, and I decided to put my phone ...

Re: Virginia Siren Map

Thanks! Definitely an FS siren of sorts - given the frame. As per the Bentonville siren I cannot really located it - could you possibly give coordinates?

Re: Madison County KY Sirens

SAFER did a killer job on those Whelens - a lot of improvement on voice quality especially comparing the CSEPP site in Alabama they had also done the contracting in installation to Madison County.

Re: Whelen Recorded Message Library from Voice and Siren Systems

You don't gotta directly intimidate his voice!! You can use your own - haha. St James Parish has a female voice on their Whelens, Tooele Utah has a male voice but it doesn't match the tone of the ones you provided, and even Franklin County, Washington has a female voice. Voices on Whelens differ - w...

Re: Congressional School Mystery Arlington Siren

Fellas, it's a 2802. I pass by this siren several times a week. There's even video evidence further backing this up.

Will say this definitely takes the cake for the longest active "system" in the NoVA area.

Re: Virginia Siren Map

Yes it's been so for about two years now. I didn't figure out the original cell-count until about a month ago.
